New York Drives

Since 2000 Brooklyn Workforce Innovations has successfully placed hundreds of skilled graduates with businesses in the commercial driving, telecommunications, woodworking, and TV and film production sectors. We are now pleased to offer entry-level job placement services to employers in a wide variety of sectors.

BWI New York Drives Graduates are

Pre-screened
Every New York Drives graduate is a NYS licensed driver who has undergone a rigorous selection process which includes a written application, in-depth interview, math and reading assessments and a drug test. We require on-time attendance and full-participation (including completing nightly homework assignments) from all program participants.

Trained
Trainees receive more than 60 hours of hard and soft skills training that is directly relevant and immediately applicable to succeeding on the job, regardless of sector. Our two week full-time training curriculum emphasizes computer skills including database data entry and business communication.

Tested
We gather ongoing feedback from our employers and provide ongoing coaching and counseling to our graduates. In addition, all applicants must pass a drug screen prior to program enrollment.

We can arrange interviews or direct placements, several weeks in advance or at a moment’s notice. This is a free service offered to employers in New York City and surrounding areas.
